Hey, Uncle Frank this is Owen. I read the story about the Yankees and Michael Pineda and I found it interesting. I think the Yankees should fare well with him and Seattle should be scared of his pitching power. Lets Go Yankees!

As a Mets fan, desperately in need of pitching, all I heard last season was that you can’t find legitimate No. 2 starters. They’re just not available. Now the Yankees pick up a 22-year-old kid who they see as CC’s eventual replacement. And they didn’t even draft him. Give Brian Cashman credit. Pitching. Pitching, Pitching.

Barring injury, this kid is going to win 15 to 20 games for the next 8 to 10 seasons. I’ve seen what Pineda can do for a full season. I’ve seen Montero play 18 games. A pretty good 18 games, but I’ve always thought the Yankees were overhyping him. Hoping to get a deal like this one. If they thought he was going to be the next Mike Piazza, he’d still be in pinstripes.

As a Yankee fan…… theft is a good thing ….but both teams made out. one needed pitching and the other needed hitting. Edgar was a great DH for that team for a number of years so we’ll have to see how Jesus works out. I can’t wait for baseball to begin.
